Purpose
Today's work world offers much choice and little stability. Career fitness is a life skill we need to determine our own destiny and
in so doing provide the workforce flexibility needed by organizations. This workshop provides the foundation to become career
fit.
Approach
This half-day workshop enables participants to understand:
-How the world of work is changing and what these changes mean for each of us
-Where responsibilities for career development reside: Individual, Manager, Organization
-Personal work expectations and how to connect them with the organization's needs: using a work expectations assessment
instrument
- How to take steps to increase job satisfaction and performance
The assessment instrument used in the workshop helps clarify personal work expectations and how to align expectations with
organizational direction.
Outcomes
As result of this workshop participants will:
-Create an action plan to manage their career
-Learn about their work expectations and how to connect them with the organization's needs
-Understand their role and the role of others regarding responsibility for career development
-Have a firm foundation for exploring their development
-Understand how the world of work is changing and what these changes mean for each of us
