Purpose
A key life skill for individuals today to identify and secure career options, is that of effective identification and exploration of alternatives. This means the ability to connect with others and explore areas of common interest This workshop will equip participants with the skills to do this effectively.
Approach
The three-hour workshop explores both the content and process associated with effective external exploration, addressing the following elements:
-Setting personal objectives
-Networking: what it is and what it isn't, framing your network, examining your network
-Informational interviewing: how to conduct an effective informational interview, who to contact
-Putting the puzzle together and creating an action plan
Outcomes
Participants leave with the following:
-An action plan for enhancing workforce productivity
-Clarity about key leadership skills to develop
-How to address changing individual expectations
-A means to determine bottom line impact of investing in people
