Purpose
In a world where value is created in organizations primarily by people, the ability to work effectively with others becomes a
critical individual and organizational skill. And yet, in many organizations people are seconded to teams with little thought
about their natural capabilities. This can lead to frustration, misunderstanding and lost productivity. This workshop helps
people identify their natural team role preferences and an appreciation for the styles of others. Team innovation and
productivity increase as conflict and cycle-time decrease.
Approach
This half-day or one-day workshop, built around a team role preference assessment instrument addresses:
-Personal insights into team role preferences
-Understanding the nature, value and strengths of your preferred team contribution
-Exploring the five primary team roles
-Understanding the roles of others
-Exploring how others may bring different team preferences and how to avoid frustration
-Leadership: valuing all work roles
-Integrating different team role preferences for the benefit of all
-Forming teams from members with complementary role preferences
